Clean Air & Water

personal air purifiersNothing is as important as air and water. Without clean air to breathe and clean water to drink and cook with we’d all be up a creek. In fact, given the air quality in many urban areas, and the concentration of chemicals in the water, many people already are up said creek. Despite the lack of clean air outside our homes we don’t have to suffer through the allergen-laden air that permeates our houses. Nor do we have to live with the bizarre taste and smell of drinking water that smells like the laundry detergent aisle in your local grocery store. Are you tired of smelling like Clorox?

What’s more, even for people without allergies, the airborne particulate matter that enters our homes can sometimes cause serious illness, even progressive diseases that advance slowly over a long period of time. By the time they’re noticed it can often be too late. Children, too, can suffer tremendously under the burden of polluted air. And our water problems don’t end once we’re off city water. In fact, well-water often contains a number of pathogens that can also cause illness, or even harm our hair and skin when we bathe.

The real value of clean air and water is priceless. We can never replace our health or the health of our children, our families and our loved ones. The budget-friendly price of personal air purifiers and water purifiers becomes small and insignificant when you consider your family’s health and well being. Purify for your family, purify for health and purify for life.

Air Purifier Gets Rid of Cat Urine Smell

A Short time ago, a gentleman approached me about an odor in the apartment that he had just rented for his family. He mentioned about the smell in one of the bedrooms which he thought was cat urine. He figured that the tenants left their cat locked in the bedroom when they would be gone for a while.

The son who’s room it was now was quite dissatisfied by the odor and when the renter discussed the issue with the landlord she was not willing to change the carpet but recommended that they spray it down with something. After trying that twice, the odor was still there. The son’s clothes also picked up some of the smell too. He asked me, can you do anything to help me? To which I responded “I believe I can.”

We ran a small home air purifier in the room for three days. No cat urine smell could be detected any more unless you put your nose right down to the carpet. After a few more days, the smell was totally gone. The boy was very happy and the rest of the apartment also had a fresher smell to it as well. So the whole family was very happy about their experience with the air purifier.

Not Every air purifier will get rid of odors. Some of them only reduce the particulaltes in the air. So if your are wanting to get rid of odors, make sure that you get the technology that also eliminates odors. No longer did this family regret living in the apartment because the air purifier they purchased got rid of the cat urine smell.

Home Air Purifiers are Great for the Office

Home air purifiers are great for the office too! Having fresh, clean air to breath all day long is important for everyone in order to operate at peak performance.

Pollen, dust and mold can irritate us especially those with allergies or asthma. Tobacco smoke can also be irritating to many and also cause furniture and supplies to have an odor. Bacteria and viruses are also present and can be spread from person to person. UV air purifiers with ultra violet light are designed to destroy bacteria and viruses.

The home air purifier was designed to remove these impurities from the air and leave us with a clean, healthy environment to work in. They work great to remove smoke smell.  They also do a wonderful job removing  dust and pollen providing  us with natural allergy relief. Also in damp conditions where molds and mildews grow, there are certain purifiers that suppress these conditions.

A person never knows who else might be coming into their office that may be irritated by any of the issues mentioned above. As a professional business person, I’m sure we all want to have the best presentable office that we can have. We certainly don’t want spread bacteria and viruses to others or visa  - versa. The home air purifiers do a good job of cleaning the air we breath and they are great for the office too!

Catching the Airborne Culprit

Millions of Americans struggle with inhalant allergies, and summer is one of the more difficult seasons to find relief. According to some studies, we only spend an average of 10 percent of our time outdoors. It stands to reason, then, that many allergy flare-ups are occurring in the safety and comfort of our own homes. What airborne presences could be causing these allergic reactions?

Many allergy sufferers are keenly sensitive to cigarette smoke. The allergen particles from cigarette smoke are particularly small, although a home air purifier overpowers them in a snap. Pet owners need to we wary of animal dander and the potential irritation it can cause to the respiratory system. Finally, especially damp, humid homes are at risk for mold and mildew growth. The spores they give off could be the real culprit as to why you’re sniffling and sneezing.

Improving Air Quality in Your Home

Quick Facts…

  • Indoor air quality can be worse than that of outdoor air.
  • Problems can arise from moisture, Insects, pets, appliances, radon, materials used in household products and furnishings, smoke, and other sources.
  • Effects range from minor annoyances to major health risks.
  • Remedies include ventilation, cleaning, moisture control, inspections, and following manufacturers’ directions when using appliances and products.

:

  • Signs of indoor air quality problems include
  • Unusual and noticeable odors
  • Stale or stuffy air.
  • Excessive humidity.
  • Presence of molds and mildew.
  • Health reaction after remodeling, weatherizing, using new furniture, using household and hobby products, or moving into a new home.
  • Feeling noticeably healthier outside.

I heard it said once that the air inside many homes is worse that the outside air in Los Angeles, CA. That is a statement that is hard to beleive but there are studies that go on to proove it! www.tryfreshair.com/pj6

Out side our homes there are natural ways that the air is being cleansed all the time. Have you ever noticed after a rainstorm that the air smells so fresh? That’s because the air was just cleansed by the rain falling . The air inside our homes needs to be cleansed too, but much of the time the indoor air is sealed off from the outside air. So what can we do about this dilema? When it is hot outside, we don’t want to open the windows and let the heat in but instead we keep everything closed up and run the air conditioner. Most of us do that!

In the winter time up in the (North) we also keep the house closed up to keep it warm. These two scenarios lead to having stale and poluted air in homes that may be unhealthy. So again what can we do about it?

Good cleaning habits is the most important both our living spaces and personal hygeine. Secondly, we can invest in modern technology that cleans the air on the inside of our home so that it compares to the air just after a rainstorm. I call this the air healthmate. There are many different types and sizes for all of the different appoications to choose from. Now is the time to research  the different options – before you develope some kind of health reaction.

Once again, indoor air quality can be worse than that of outdoor air!

Boost Your Family Safety From Swine Flu

posted by Paul M @ 14:35 PM
July 30, 2009

It’s time to boost your family safety from Swine Flu, bird Flu and other viral diseases. Just today, July 30, 2009, I read an article stating that the U.S. military is gearing up to get involved in the H1N1 swine flu outbreak that is widely  expected to strike the U.S. this fall. According to CNN, “The U.S. military wants to establish regional teams of military personnel to assist civilian authorities in the event of a significant outbreak of the H1N1 virus this fall, according to Defense Department officials.”(http://edition.cnn.com/2009/US/07/28/military.swine.flu/ ).

This information should not cause us to react in fear, but should move us to start taking preventative measures to protect our families the best we can from what authorities are saying could be a pandemic. We can use anti-virals such as Olive leaf extract, probiotics or a good health juice. Another preventative measure that one can implement is to use a home air purifier that is effective in killing viruses.

There is a variety of air purifiers with an assortment of different technologies available. Only a few of the purifiers have the kind of technology that is effective in actually killing viruses and harmful bacteria’s. There is one company that I know of that manufactures a uv air purifier that even kills viruses and bacteria on the surfaces of your home. Even though there is no guarantee of not getting swine flu or any other sickness such as bird flu or MRSA, the chances of contracting such sicknesses may be greatly reduced.

Here is some information from a University testing lab that you might be interested in. Click on Kansas State.  Then click on Kansas State Active Pure testing results. The University of Cincinatti also has test results. This will give you an opportunity to see first hand what these tests revealed in reducing certain microorganisms. “Since we have had our home air  purifier for 2 ½ years, our children almost never miss school any more”. JEM- Minnesota

Are you afraid of the possible threat of swine flu?, are you just going to hope for the best?, or are you taking action to take the precautions that you can? In either case, our federal government thinks that this is for real. So it’s time to Boost your families safety from Swine Flu.

Do you have a Strategic Air Defense System in your house?  Having clean air to breathe is very important to your overall health. Many of the respiratory problems stem from breathing air that is not pure.

Some of the pollutants that we find in air are Particles such as Dust, Smoke, Pollen, and Dust Mites.  There are also odors in the air that can be harmful to breathe in or maybe they are just unpleasant. Also, there are many micro-organisms in the air that may cause us to become sick. Some examples of these are Staff, Strep and Salmonella.

Whole House Air Purifiers that have Radiant Catalitic Ionization (RCI) technology attacks the micro-organisms in the air and on the surfaces of your home; Thus lowering the chance of getting sick from these micro-organisms. Check here for University tests results of reduced bacteria counts when these machines are in use.
