One of the classic debates in America is whether dogs or cats make the better pets. As a person who has experience owning both animals, I feel like I have the authority to make a stand in this dispute. Although I love my dog, it seems to me that cats make the superior pet.
Unlike dogs that bark and constantly need to go outside, cats are generally laidback and low maintenance. In my last house we were not supposed to have any pets, but we were still able to keep a cat without being detected. Many people claim that the cat urine smell will ruin a house, but cats are better trained than dogs and keep their odors confined to the litter box in my experience.

The smell of chlorine is both reassuring and soothing when it’s present at the community pool. Chlorination helps keep germs and bacteria at bay, and you never know where your neighbors and acquaintances have been before taking a dip. Chlorine doesn’t retain the same charm when pouring through your shower head at home, however. Besides lending its unpleasant, permeating odor to the water, chlorine can be detrimental to styled hairdos.
While you always have the option of showering after swimming in the pool – allowing you to rid your body of chemicals immediately – that option doesn’t exist at home. Luckily, a shower head filter can weed out 75 percent of chlorine immediately, restoring most of your water’s natural purity. Harmful chemicals and unpleasant odors just come along with the territory when you’ve got city water; it takes a concerted effort to cut chlorine and hydrogen sulfide off at the pass.
